Assistant General Manager | Trulieve
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Trulieve, an in-person position. Trulieve operates in the nation’s fastest-growing cannabis industry, focused on providing patients with trusted relief through natural cultivation processes. This role supports efficient daily store operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and an exceptional customer experience, directly impacting patient well-being and company standards.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: 40-45 hours weekly, with flexible hours depending on store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Location: In-person
• Team: Reports to the General Manager within the Retail department.
• Mission: This role supports store leadership to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer experience, ultimately providing patients with trusted products and service.
• Tech Stack: electronic equipment (computer, scanner, printer, etc.), telecommunication devices
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy & Sales: Partner with the General Manager to develop and execute strategies that enhance service standards and achieve positive sales results.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state-specific regulations and company Standard Operating Procedures, communicating any changes to employees.
• Team Development: Provide coaching, training, and development to the team, focusing on company service standards and accountability to meet objectives.
• Operations & Inventory: Monitor and maintain store inventory and assist in managing the labor budget to align with business needs.
• Customer Resolution: Handle and resolve patient issues and escalations when on duty, maintaining professionalism and discretion.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager. Two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a focus on retail and customer service operations.
• Experience: Must have prior cash handling experience. Proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions to inform policies and procedures.
• Skills: Ability to train, develop, and evaluate a team of 40+ employees; strong interpersonal skills and professionalism for communication with all levels of management and staff; ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion; able to communicate effectively in conversational English with customers and team members; ability to operate electronic equipment (computer, scanner, printer, etc.) and utilize telecommunication devices.
• Bonus: Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service areas, is a plus.
