Controller / Accounting Manager | Legacy Building Supply

• Mission: Ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information to support business growth and strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Daily Operations: Oversee all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within the company.
• Generate Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and other critical reports for ownership.
• Complete Financial Closings: Perform comprehensive month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure Compliance and Coordination: Prepare and file sales tax reports, and coordinate directly with the company’s CPA for year-end reporting and tax preparation.
• Develop Financial Processes: Continuously develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Managerial. Core domain knowledge: Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, with a background in accounting or finance.
• Experience: Practical experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger accounting. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, effective communication and problem-solving abilities, high integrity and confidentiality.
