Student Employee (Federal Work Study Eligible) Registration and Records | Monroe Community College

This is a student employment position at Monroe Community College, located in Rochester, NY. • Mission: To support the daily operations of the Registration & Records Office by assisting students and processing essential documents.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Entry: Process student registration information accurately into the college system.
• Document Management: Digitize and organize various office documents through scanning, filing, and shredding.
• Records Auditing: Link and audit student records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Customer Service: Provide direct customer service at the service window, including answering phone calls from students and staff.
• Graduation Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to the student graduation process, including filing.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be currently enrolled as a student at Monroe Community College, maintaining satisfactory academic progress and good academic standing.
• Experience: Federal Work Study eligibility is required and must be approved by the Financial Aid Office prior to hire. Student must have a current FAFSA on file and be awarded FWS through financial aid.
• Skills: Ability to work 10-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:45 AM and 4:45 PM. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for face-to-face interaction and phone support. Proficiency in basic office procedures, including data entry and document organization.
• Bonus: Bilingual proficiency, able to read, write, and speak Spanish or other languages proficiently.
