The TL;DR
• Role: Tactical Security Officer
• Type: Part-time, Saturday-Sunday (7 AM-3 PM) and Monday-Tuesday (3 PM-11 PM), 32 hours/week
• Location: In-person, Wheat Ridge, CO
• Pay: $21.65 hourly
• Mission: Patrol and secure sensitive areas, control access, and respond to incidents to protect people and property.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Security Patrols: Actively patrol sensitive environments, including retail stores, airports, and detention centers, to identify and deter suspicious activity, ensuring constant vigilance.
• Access Management: Verify identities and diligently control access to secure areas, playing a critical role in maintaining the integrity and safety of designated perimeters.
• Incident Management: Rapidly react to security threats, alarms, or incidents, conducting thorough on-site checks and taking appropriate, immediate actions to mitigate risks.
• System Monitoring: Regularly check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras, ensuring all surveillance and security systems are operational and effective for continuous protection.
• Reporting & Collaboration: Thoroughly document all observed incidents and actions taken, and effectively collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents for coordinated responses.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This entry-level position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the U.S. and to provide documentation of a High School Diploma or GED. A fundamental understanding of security principles is beneficial for success.
• Experience: Successful candidates must be able to complete and pass an extensive screening process. Prior experience in Security, Military, or Law Enforcement is highly valued and can be a significant asset.
• Skills: Essential skills include a keen sense of observation to read environments and anticipate potential risks, along with the physical ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of a shift. The role demands quick reaction times to respond effectively to threats or incidents.
• Bonus: First aid certification is a preferred qualification. Candidates must also possess a state security license if required by local regulations for this type of role.
