Human Resources Generalist | InterDent Service Corporation
The Tone:
This is a hybrid Human Resources Generalist position based in Vancouver, WA, allowing for 1-2 days per week working from home and requiring 3-4 days in the office. InterDent Service Corporation is a leading Dental Service Organization that supports 165 dental practices and over 2,000 team members across eight states. What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain Records: Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policy and applicable laws. Process all personnel transactions, including new hires, transfers, status changes, and separations, and monitor HRIS workflows for timely completion and data accuracy.
• Provide Support: Offer first-level assistance to employees and managers on HRIS navigation, workflows, and basic system functionality, as well as routine questions regarding employee relations, benefits, and leaves. Escalate complex system, workflow, or data issues to appropriate internal stakeholders for resolution.
• Manage Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processes, including the completion of assigned HRIS and administrative tasks. This involves tracking and supporting compliance-related processes such as I-9 administration and other required employment documentation.
• Support Employee Relations: Partner with Directors of Operation and Practice Managers to address performance management, behavioral issues, policy interpretations, corrective action, and conflict resolution conversations. Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day employee relations matters, ensuring consistency and appropriate escalation.
• Data & Reporting: Perform routine audits of HRIS and employee data, assisting in identifying and correcting discrepancies to maintain data integrity. Run standard and ad hoc HR reports, support routine data requests for HR, payroll, and leadership, and assist with HRIS updates, testing, and process improvements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Preferred is one to three years of administrative or generalist experience in HR or HRIS support; equivalent administrative experience is considered for systems-minded individuals.
• Experience: One to three years of administrative/generalist experience in HR, human resources support, or HRIS is preferred. Experience with HR systems, databases, or other business systems is also preferred.
• Skills: Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple tasks, maintain strong attention to detail, and ensure data accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Bonus: Prior UKG system experience is strongly preferred. Experience with leaves of absence, ADA, and benefits administration is a plus. Prior employee relations experience is preferred.
