Sr. Human Resources Business Partner | Chick-fil-A Supply
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Chick-fil-A Supply, located in Olathe, KS, supporting its Distribution Center. Chick-fil-A Supply is an innovative distribution service provider focused on understanding and meeting the unique needs of Chick-fil-A restaurants, ensuring they have the food and products required through a seamless delivery experience that extends Chick-fil-A’s culture of care. This role is crucial for supporting the daily operations of the talent team, ensuring a workforce capable of meeting the DC’s demands, and contributing to overall reward and benefit systems. The Sr. HR Business Partner will help drive continued innovation and a strong talent strategy and culture within the Distribution Center.

• Mission: Ensure the distribution center maintains a skilled workforce and positive culture through effective HR operations and strategic talent initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Staffing & Recruitment: Collaborate with leadership to execute recruitment initiatives and ensure the Distribution Center is effectively staffed, including coordinating interview logistics.
• HR Operations & Data: Oversee records management within the HR system for all staff, compiling and analyzing data for key performance indicators.
• Employee Engagement & Relations: Drive employee engagement across departments, process inquiries, and provide employee relations support reflecting company culture.
• Policy & Legal Guidance: Advise and support team leaders on employment law, government regulations, performance management, and various HR policies (e.g., FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation).
• Payroll & Compliance: Oversee the payroll administration process for the DC, provide issue resolution, and partner with Legal to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior HR professional with a High School Diploma or GED, demonstrating knowledge of general HR policies, procedures, and practices.
• Experience: 5 years of HR-related experience, including at least 3 years in a distribution or manufacturing environment, with experience in investigations (accidents, harassment), recruiting diverse teams, and leading through change management.
• Skills: Ability to build relationships and influence others across multiple operations, work a flexible schedule (including weekends, holidays, rotating shifts), occasionally travel (including overnight trips), understand labor legislation, and communicate proficiently in English.
• Bonus: 7+ years of HR generalist experience (with 3+ in distribution/manufacturing), Spanish speaking ability, working knowledge of logistics, warehousing, IT systems, HRIS, payroll administration, supply chain innovations, safe work practices (OSHA), excellent knowledge of employment law, HR KPIs business acumen, and strong business communication and presentation skills.
