What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct: Lead and manage the supportive, high-performing therapy team, fostering a devoted and collaborative rehab staff environment.
• Oversee: Ensure the provision of compassionate, quality rehabilitation services for long-term care and short-skilled stay residents within a skilled nursing setting.
• Develop: Guide the development and oversee the implementation of individualized treatment plans, tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident.
• Contribute: Uphold a patient-first approach, creating an environment where the ideas, skills, and passion of the therapy team are heard and valued.
• Impact: Make a real, positive impact on residents’ lives by delivering exceptional care in a facility that cares for its seniors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level professional, holding a current or eligible license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech Therapist (ST), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in South Dakota. Must be a graduate of an accredited therapy program, skilled in core rehabilitation principles.
• Experience: Demonstrated capability to lead and inspire a therapy team, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. Preference for candidates with experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation environment.
• Skills:
• Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and a diverse therapy team.
• Proficient in developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that address specific patient needs and goals.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork abilities, contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive staff environment.
• Bonus: Direct experience working within a skilled nursing facility or a dedicated rehabilitation setting is preferred. Eligibility to become licensed in South Dakota is highly valued for out-of-state applicants.
