The Tone:
This is an internship at Lithko Contracting, located across multiple nationwide sites. The company is a leader in concrete construction, serving diverse industries from industrial and manufacturing facilities to healthcare and educational institutions, as well as chip plants and data centers, placing over 100 million square feet of concrete annually. This role is crucial for developing future talent by providing 12 weeks of hands-on learning in concrete construction fundamentals. Interns receive dedicated mentorship and training, gaining skills applicable both on-site and academically, making this a foundational step for early career development within a large, successful organization.

• Mission: To learn concrete construction fundamentals on job sites, contributing to project execution and daily operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Understanding: Actively utilize resources, including managers and mentors, to understand the comprehensive project scope, schedule, and plans for safety and quality.
• Work Planning & Execution: Develop structured plans to execute specific work objectives, track personal progress diligently, and adapt plans based on performance feedback and evolving conditions.
• Daily Oversight: Manage the daily safety protocols, quality standards, and overall execution of assigned work objectives on the job site.
• Hands-on Collaboration: Learn through direct, hands-on performance, working alongside experienced teams through the daily preparation plan and the broader project execution process.
• Diverse Field Duties: Contribute to a variety of evolving tasks which may include field engineering (line and grade), forming walls and columns, conducting inspections, managing loadout processes, assisting with place finish operations, preparing and forming structural slabs, tracking production, performing quantity take-offs, and preparing both slab on grade and slab on metal deck.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level internship role for individuals currently working towards a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: No prior experience on a commercial construction site is required, as Lithko Contracting empowers interns with necessary training and resources to succeed on the job.
• Skills: Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong drive to excel, be action-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn the intricacies of concrete construction.
• Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future, and possess a reliable method of transportation to job sites daily and on time.
