What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Oversee all property accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
• Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to support company objectives.
• Software Utilization: Utilize Yardi software for comprehensive property management accounting and accurate reporting.
• Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for operational improvement.
• Compliance: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data and reports, complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Audits: Assist with annual audits by providing necessary financial information and support to external auditors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with extensive knowledge of general ledger management and financial statements.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role, with proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Skills: Proficiency in Yardi software, strong financial analysis skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Prior property accounting experience is preferred, but not strictly required.
