Events Manager I | Atlanta Community Food Bank
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Atlanta Community Food Bank, located in East Point, GA, with a hybrid schedule. The Atlanta Community Food Bank works to end hunger by providing food through a network of over 700 nonprofit partners across 29 counties in metro Atlanta and north Georgia. This role is crucial for advancing the organization’s fundraising, engagement, and awareness goals through the planning and execution of special events and promotions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Event Operations: Manage and support ACFB special events and promotions, overseeing all logistics from venue selection and coordination to safety and vendor management.
• Drive Project Execution & Improvement: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and task management systems, while identifying process improvements for enhanced efficiency and participant experience.
• Build Key Relationships: Cultivate and steward relationships with sponsors, donors, and vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned stakeholders.
• Direct Event Communications: Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to develop marketing materials and distribute event communications to participants, sponsors, and volunteers.
• Oversee Financials: Assist in developing, monitoring, and managing event budgets, tracking sponsorships, ticket sales, and in-kind donations for assigned projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Proven experience with project management, event planning, sales and marketing, and the coordination of multiple projects within deadlines and budget.
• Experience: Demonstrated history of successfully managing relationships with vendors, donors, and/or sponsors. Skillfully planned and executed multiple events. Experience creating event playbooks and processes.
• Skills: Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to connect and work with a wide range of people, nimbly resolving conflicts, and tactfully negotiating. Proficient in utilizing and configuring event technology platforms, project management systems, and digital tools.
• Bonus: Experience using Raiser’s Edge, Monday.com, or other CMS.
