CP-Leadership Intern | AdventHealth

The Tone:
This is a Leadership internship at AdventHealth, located in Altamonte Springs, FL. AdventHealth is a healthcare organization dedicated to the wholeness of each person, committed to uplifting others in body, mind, and spirit, and extending the healing ministry of Christ. This role is crucial for building foundational knowledge of core healthcare processes, developing professional skills, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of various departments through hands-on experience and observation.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $16.63–$26.60 hourly
• Mission: This person gains knowledge of core processes and organizational dynamics while contributing to department efficiency and effectiveness.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Teams, Outlook), Microsoft Publisher

What You’ll Actually Do
• Relationships: Build relationships by participating in department meetings and observing team role models.
• Knowledge: Gain knowledge of core processes and develop working knowledge of industry terminology through various departmental rotations.
• Engagement: Engage in hands-on projects and shadowing opportunities within departments such as Hospital Operations, Finance, Clinical Leadership, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, and Mission/Ministry.
• Networking: Network with senior leaders to understand key organizational decisions, observe organizational dynamics, and participate in leadership meetings.
• Projects: Produce results by completing assigned projects and assignments, demonstrating continuous professional development, and contributing to overall departmental efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Completion of Intermediate Accounting is required for Finance/Accounting roles. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: No specific years required. Preferred experience includes academic, professional, collegiate (Clubs, Student Government etc.), or community (Volunteer) activities. Prior experience in an organized activity requiring team participation and time management is preferred, as is prior work experience in a professional environment.
• Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications: Word, Power Point, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Good customer service, organization, and computer skills are also required.
• Bonus: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred for Finance/Accounting roles. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Publisher is preferred for Marketing/Strategic Planning (Communications rotations).
