Intern/Co-op | Bombardier

The Tone:
This is an Intern/Co-op position at Bombardier US Aerostructures, located in Red Oak, TX. At Bombardier, we design, build, and maintain the world’s peak-performing aircraft for discerning people, businesses, governments, and militaries. This role is vital in supporting production operations by applying analytical skills and contributing to leadership development goals, ensuring the delivery of superior experiences and products. You will be part of a team pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the industry by prioritizing continuous growth and development.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Red Oak, TX

• Mission: Support production decisions and operations by providing data analysis, coordinating tasks, and ensuring key manufacturing priorities are met while contributing to leadership development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support production decisions: Utilize strong analytical and data analysis skills to inform production decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Present performance: Communicate effectively with groups of 10–15 leaders by presenting information, updates, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate tasks: Assist in coordinating work by assigning tasks to leaders and following up to ensure completion and accountability.
• Support operations: Maintain production operations through an understanding of key manufacturing priorities, including safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
• Apply knowledge: Contribute to leadership development goals by applying business and manufacturing knowledge.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a degree in business, with foundational business and manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience: No prior experience required, but active engagement in learning the fundamentals of manufacturing operations and leadership is essential.
• Skills: Strong analytical and data analysis skills; effective communication and presentation abilities; organizational skills for task assignment, tracking, and follow-up; understanding of key manufacturing priorities (safety, quality, schedule attainment, and cost performance).
• Bonus: A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt quickly; initiative to ask questions and seek growth opportunities toward a long-term goal of becoming a manufacturing supervisor or leader; confidence in speaking in front of and collaborating with groups of leaders.
