What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead the revenue cycle operations within the skilled nursing facility, focusing on driving cash collections, reducing accounts receivable aging, and ensuring overall optimal financial performance.
• Oversee: Oversee the daily operations of the business office, ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory and company standards for financial accuracy and compliance.
• Manage: Manage critical financial processes including accurate census tracking, timely daily deposits, meticulous cash posting, and robust private pay collections.
• Administer: Administer all resident trust accounts with precision and meticulously handle the entire Medicaid eligibility process, encompassing applications, thorough follow-up, and essential documentation coordination.
• Collaborate: Partner closely with the billing team to support the accurate and timely submission of all insurance claims and facilitate the effective resolution of any complex billing issues or discrepancies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Manager. Holds a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for some college coursework in business, healthcare administration, or a related field. Possesses working knowledge of diverse health insurance payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care plans, alongside a comprehensive understanding of Medicaid eligibility requirements and the full application process.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of direct experience in a long-term care business office or another related healthcare setting is required to manage complex revenue cycle operations effectively.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong organizational capabilities and excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Exhibits professional and tactful communication skills essential for interacting effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook and Excel, to manage daily tasks and reporting.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include additional college coursework in business, healthcare administration, or a related field, and practical experience with healthcare billing or other electronic systems.
