The Tone:
This is a global Vice President role at Mashreq, a leading financial institution focused on digital innovation within its Retail Banking Group. This position is crucial for establishing and maintaining robust governance across strategic digital initiatives and ensuring smooth, compliant end-to-end digital release management for all global markets of RBG Digital. The role is instrumental in driving delivery excellence and operational stability through standardized frameworks and continuous improvement.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, United Arab Emirates
• Team: RBG Digital, Project Management Team. Reports to Head of Agile Transformation.
• Mission: To establish and govern digital delivery frameworks and release management across Retail Banking Group’s global digital initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Management: Lead and govern large-scale strategic digital initiatives globally, ensuring consistent execution and successful delivery across diverse teams and markets.
• Release Frameworks: Design and implement policies, processes, and tools to enforce proactive adherence and governance to the Release Management framework.
• Compliance and Approvals: Facilitate release governance meetings, drive decision-making for release readiness and approvals, and ensure all releases comply with organizational policies, audit requirements, and security standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence by establishing structured feedback loops, leveraging data from releases, incidents, and operational performance.
• Governance Oversight: Act as the central point of governance for managing escalations in both program and release management across all squads, tribes, functions, and markets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Post graduate degree with 15+ years in diverse banking departments, coupled with strong knowledge of Digital and Tech delivery program governance and enterprise delivery frameworks.
• Experience: 15+ years of experience; proven experience working in an Agile environment, including defining MVPs, OKRs, and incremental deliveries; senior stakeholder management across various levels of seniority.
• Skills: Focused mindset on governance, compliance, and controls; deep understanding of change management practices, including stakeholder analysis and leadership communications; excellent program and program management capabilities.
• Bonus: Ability to understand technical/digital solutions and their implications; functional and technology knowledge on major banking applications; strong organizational and presentation capabilities.
