• Mission: To contribute to structural design efforts on public and private bridge projects, assisting in solving complex problems to produce clients’ visions for the built environment.
• Tech Stack: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, GIS

What You’ll Actually Do
• Software Utilization: Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and quality control deliverables for clients on a regular basis.
• Project Contribution: Contribute to the pre-construction phase of structural projects, including bridges, retaining walls, and other design efforts for public and/or private bridge projects.
• Document Preparation: Prepare bridge and structural plans, specifications, and estimates for clients.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration: Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to achieve clients’ visions for future built environments.
• Regulatory Familiarity: Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, alongside Kimley-Horn’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for students currently pursuing an ABET accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• Experience: Not specified beyond current enrollment in an ABET accredited engineering degree program.
• Skills: Ability to utilize technical software for engineering analysis; capability to contribute to pre-construction structural projects; aptitude for solving complex problems and collaborating across disciplines.
