The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Nationwide (Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Texas, Traveling Interns)
• Mission: Provide students with hands-on work experience and professional development within the construction industry.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, ability to learn Asta, Procore, Bluebeam
What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist with daily operations on a project site or in a local office, contributing to the smooth execution of company projects.
• Gain practical work experience in specialized areas including Estimating/Preconstruction, Field Engineering, Project Engineering, Supply Chain, Safety, Design, or VDC.
• Collaborate directly with a team of talented professionals, many with decades of experience, to learn industry best practices and operational insights.
• Develop and apply crucial professional skills such as communication, independent judgment, initiative, and problem-solving in a real-world setting.
• Utilize basic computer software programs and acquire proficiency in construction-specific software to support various project functions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a four-year degree; Entry-Level career experience with a basic understanding of construction.
• Experience: Basic understanding of construction principles and operations.
• Skills: Communication, independent judgment, initiative, time management, organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Bonus: Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred; demonstrated ability to learn other specific software (Asta, Procore, Bluebeam, etc.).
