Shipping & Receiving Specialist | Lynden Door Inc.
The Tone:
This is a part-time position at Lynden Door Inc., located in Lynden, WA. Lynden Door is a family-owned company and one of North America’s leading manufacturers of quality interior wood doors. This role is crucial for ensuring materials and products move accurately and efficiently throughout the manufacturing operation, supporting daily operations and contributing to the company’s success. You will play an important role in keeping our processes running smoothly by managing the flow of goods and maintaining meticulous records.

• Role: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
• Type: Part-time
• Location: In-person, Lynden, WA
• Pay: $21.00 – $23.50 hourly
• Team: Materials Department
• Mission: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure materials are correctly processed and documented to support smooth manufacturing operations.
• Tech Stack: ERP systems, web-based systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams
What You’ll Actually Do
• Process and maintain accurate shipping and receiving information within the company’s ERP and web-based systems.
• Receive inbound materials, including thorough inspection, proper labeling, comprehensive documentation, and execution of inventory transactions.
• Perform regular inventory counts, create necessary inventory adjustments, and maintain precise inventory records for all materials.
• Track the status of shipments and proactively communicate updates to internal departments and customer service teams.
• Maintain organized shipping and receiving records to ensure compliance with company standards and facilitate auditing processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: No specific prior experience is required, but a commitment to dependability, reliability, and excellent service is essential.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organizational and time management skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities; self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team; comfortable learning new software systems and technology; positive attitude and willingness to support multiple departments.
• Bonus: Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience; experience working with ERP systems or inventory management software; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Teams; experience in a manufacturing environment.
