The Tone:
This is a part-time position at Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County, located in a Club setting within Manatee County. The organization provides vital youth development programs, creating a safe and positive environment for children and teens. This role is crucial for planning, implementing, and supervising engaging activities that foster growth, leadership, and positive outcomes for club members.

• Team: Reports to the Program Director.
• Mission: To plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities within a specific program area like Social Recreation & Sports to facilitate positive youth development outcomes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Create: An environment that promotes positive Youth Development Outcomes.
• Engage: Youth in activities, stimulating participation, and consistent attendance while establishing rapport and providing mentoring.
• Implement: Programs, services, and activities effectively, ensuring member safety and quality in programs.
• Administer: Daily operations, including submitting lesson plans, attendance sheets, and performing mandatory program area setup and close down.
• Support: Members’ emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School diploma or equivalent, with knowledge of youth development.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of work-related experience, specifically working with children and creating interactive and educational activities.
• Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Bonus: Certifications and credentials in respective skill-based activities, CPR and First Aid Certifications, and a valid State Driver’s License.
