The Tone:
This is an internship at Jobright.ai, located in Santa Clara, CA. Jobright is a personal AI job search agent that transforms the job search process from solo, time-consuming efforts to a fast, expert-guided journey. As an AI Agent Intern, you will directly contribute to shaping how people experience AI-driven job search by designing, building, and evaluating AI workflows. This role offers high ownership and impact, working at the intersection of AI, agents, and product to deliver real, production AI agents to users.

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Workflow Prototyping: Prototype agent workflows specifically for job discovery, research, personalization, and career guidance.
• Strategy Design: Design effective strategies for tool-use, planning, memory, and structured-output within AI agents.
• Evaluation Frameworks: Build comprehensive evaluation frameworks to assess agent quality, reliability, and safety standards.
• Performance Improvement: Debug complex multi-step workflows and implement improvements to enhance overall agent performance.
• User Experience Collaboration: Work closely with product and design teams to translate agent capabilities into intuitive and seamless user experiences.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Familiarity with LLM concepts, prompt design, APIs, and structured data.
• Skills: Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or a similar language; Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA.
• Bonus: Experience building LLM agents, tool-calling workflows, or RAG systems; Familiarity with agent frameworks or workflow orchestration; Experience with evaluation, guardrails, or human-in-the-loop systems; Interest in consumer AI, product design, and user experience; Previous AI project, research, internship, or startup experience.
