This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of a client in the real estate/property management industries. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards, supporting various internal teams. This position offers an opportunity to apply foundational accounting skills within a specific industry context.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Transactions: Process accounts receivable and payable transactions for client operations.
• Reconciliations: Prepare bank statements, financial accounts, and monitor collection accounts.
• Bookkeeping & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive bookkeeping operations and prepare financial statements and reports.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards (GAAP) and assist with audits by providing necessary documentation.
• General Ledger Management: Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and conduct account analysis.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level career stage with a strong foundation in real estate or property management accounting.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate or property management (corporate or public) is required.
• Skills: Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bonus: Preferably an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
