Finance Analyst | Kiewit

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Kiewit, located in Idaho Falls, ID or Lenexa, KS. As a Financial Analyst, you will be integral to the business management of large-scale projects, helping to ensure sound financial practices from cost control to forecasting. • Mission: This role supports project business management by handling critical accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance for projects ranging from $1 million to $4 billion.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Management: Support the business management of projects ranging from $1 million to $4 billion.
• Financial Operations: Execute critical tasks such as cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance.
• Reporting & Close: Assist with the month-end close-out process and prepare financial reporting packages for project management.
• Cost & Revenue Control: Develop skills in executing processes and utilizing tools for various cost and revenue components, including labor, construction equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
• Data Accuracy: Review costs, quantity claiming, budget structure, and exception reports, making appropriate corrections to ensure accurate reporting for management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Experience: 0-3+ years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Effective communication (both oral and written), organization, and interpersonal skills. Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future. Sole US citizenship required to obtain site badge access.
• Bonus: Experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions. Travel and/or relocation may be required (up to 50%).
