The team combines expertise in artificial intelligence, hardware and software product development, operational excellence, and customer obsession. This role is crucial for supporting the development of Skydio’s next-generation autonomous flight technology within the Hardware team.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, United States
• Pay: $47–$58 hourly
• Team: Hardware team, collaborating with technical operations program managers and cross-functional partners
• Mission: Support the development of next-generation autonomous flight technology by coordinating hardware development programs from early design through testing, manufacturing, launch, and sustaining.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support cross-functional hardware development programs spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and testing teams.
• Plan: Help develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, schedules, milestones, and action-item trackers.
• Coordinate: Coordinate critical product development efforts, including engineering builds, test readiness, and supplier activities.
• Track: Monitor program progress, identify potential risks or blockers, and ensure issues are communicated to appropriate stakeholders.
• Drive: Organize and facilitate meetings, document key decisions, and follow up with owners to drive action items to completion.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, business, or a related field.
• Experience: Interest in hardware product development, robotics, consumer electronics, automotive systems, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, proactive and resourceful ownership, and comfort navigating ambiguity while learning new technical concepts.
• Bonus: Experience with project management, engineering projects, manufacturing, robotics teams, internships, or student organizations.
