Administrative Assistant | Sportsfield Specialties

The Tone:
This is an in-person role at Sportsfield Specialties. Sportsfield Specialties is a company that specializes in products for sports fields. This role is crucial for providing essential administrative support and ensuring the smooth, confidential day-to-day operation of HR tasks and functions.

• Mission: To facilitate the daily functions of the HR department by providing administrative support and maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), online meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Confidentiality & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality for all HR-related information and tasks.
• Applicant & Employee Records: Accurately record applications and resumes in systems, manage Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) forms, and maintain all employee driving records through the DMV Lens Program.
• Onboarding & Testing Coordination: Coordinate pre-employment testing with local and out-of-state lab facilities, prepare comprehensive new hire and benefit packets, and conduct background and reference checks for candidates.
• HR Support & Engagement: Assist with various employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, company events, and larger HR projects.
• General Administrative Support: Order and maintain HR department supplies, perform essential general office duties such as scanning, filing, copying, and data entry, and collaborate on operational updates.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field; Entry-Level career. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: 1-3 years of administrative or office support experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Familiarity with online meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc.); Excellent written and interpersonal communication; Strong organizational and time management skills; Ability to maintain high accuracy and attention to detail with discretion and confidentiality.
• Bonus: Experience with HRIS systems.
