Human Resources Coordinator | Provident Behavioral Health

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role for Provident Behavioral Health, primarily located in their St. Louis City office with hybrid flexibility allowing up to 40% remote work. Provident supports a workforce of 100+ employees, dedicated to increasing access to quality behavioral health services, especially for those with the greatest need. This role is crucial for providing essential administrative and operational support across all Human Resources functions, ensuring smooth processes and a positive employee experience.

• Mission: To provide administrative and operational support across all HR functions, enabling Provident to achieve its mission.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, HRIS platforms, IPS/Anova/UKG or similar systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR records, processing status changes, new hire documentation, and organizational updates within the HRIS.
• Payroll Management: Serve as the primary administrator for agency payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission for both Provident and Mary Ryder Home.
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, pre-employment activities, and new hire orientation.
• Benefits Support: Process employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations, while assisting employees with benefits-related questions and supporting 401(k) program administration.
• Employee Engagement: Co-facilitate Workplace Culture & Inclusion Committee activities and assist in planning company events and employee appreciation initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent blend of education, coursework, training, and experience.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, payroll, and benefits administration; experience with HRIS programs including payroll features, applicant tracking, and employee data management in platforms like IPS/Anova/UKG or similar systems.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word) and HRIS platforms; strong data entry, auditing, reconciliation, and reporting capabilities; strong organizational, time management, and administrative skills.
• Bonus: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), aPHR (Associate Professional in Human Resources), FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification), or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional).
