Guest Relations Intern | University of South Florida

What You’ll Actually Do
• Representation: Represent the CCPD professionally in all interactions with students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, parents, and visitors, while strengthening communication and professionalism competencies.
• Guest Support: Provide front-line guest support by assessing needs, offering accurate information, and making appropriate referrals, applying critical thinking and communication skills.
• Office Operations: Support daily office operations through tasks such as appointment check-ins, records management, and efficient use of Handshake and other relevant systems.
• Knowledge Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the CCPD’s diverse programs, services, and resources to ensure effective service delivery to all guests.
• Event Participation: Participate in cross-training opportunities and provide operational support across various office initiatives, including Suit-A-Bull, career events, and employer engagement activities.
• Project Support: Deliver administrative and project support to a designated partner team within the office, with projects varying based on departmental priorities and intern skill areas.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current USF undergraduate student actively enrolled for the 2026-2027 year, specifically required to hold a Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the applicable academic year.
• Experience: Prior experience in customer service, student leadership, retail, hospitality, office support, or campus involvement is preferred, demonstrating an early ability to engage with diverse populations.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for assisting through in-person interactions, phone calls, emails, and Microsoft Teams; demonstrated professionalism, a friendly demeanor, and a customer service orientation; ability to work both independently and collaboratively with strong organizational and time-management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual communication platforms.
• Bonus: Familiarity with CCPD services and programs through prior use or event attendance; and a clear interest in developing NACE competencies, particularly in Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, and Career & Self-Development.
