Retail Management Intern | Love’s Travel Stops

The Tone:
This is an 11-week internship at Love’s Travel Stops, providing hands-on experience in managing high-volume travel centers. Love’s operates travel centers that serve professional drivers and travelers, helping them get back on the road quickly. This role is designed to offer a clear path toward a rewarding career within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Training: Participate in hands-on training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
• Business Acumen: Develop business acumen by learning how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
• Team Development: Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
• Customer Engagement: Gain experience delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues.
• Operational Standards: Assist with merchandising, inventory management, operational standards, and understanding and enforcing safety, compliance, and company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level intern currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program, pursuing a degree in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years required; must be willing to learn by doing in a customer-focused environment.
• Skills: Confident interaction with customers and team members, potential for leadership, and ability to navigate various computer programs, systems, and technology tools.
