• Mission: Evaluate and execute strategic opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, and joint ventures, that align with FedEx’s long-term business priorities.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Opportunity Evaluation: Evaluate strategic opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, and joint ventures, to align with long-term business priorities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to assess potential transactions, monitor industry and competitive trends, and identify emerging opportunities and risks.
• Deal Execution Support: Support all stages of deal execution, encompassing financial analysis, strategic evaluation, due diligence, and portfolio management.
• Senior Leadership Reporting: Prepare materials and recommendations for senior leadership review to inform strategic decision-making.
• External Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including potential partners, target companies, investment banks, and advisors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in finance, business, or a related field, for a Manager-level position.
• Experience: Five (5) or more years in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity investment, with demonstrated end-to-end transaction experience. Candidates with fewer years of experience who possess an accelerated track record of successful deal execution and strong financial acumen are also encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities (DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, accretion/dilution analyses); familiarity with the transportation, logistics, or supply chain tech sectors; strong deal structuring and negotiation experience, including legal document review; industry competitive intelligence experience; excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Bonus: MBA or equivalent graduate degree; corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and/or management consulting experience.
