Trade Support Analyst | Societe Generale
The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Societe Generale, located in Canada (Quebec). Societe Generale is a global financial services company that supports a wide range of client activities. This role is crucial within the Operations department’s Trade Support Unit, specifically the Exotics Middle Office, where it supports traders, structurers, and clients in managing complex structured product activities. The analyst will ensure the smooth operation of exotic product events and act as a key interface between various internal and external stakeholders.

• Mission: Manage and monitor exotic product lifecycle events and provide support to the Exotic Trading desk within a dynamic international environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Modeling: Model complex derivatives transactions in Front Office systems to fully understand the technical nature of the instruments managed by the team.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Manage product lifecycle events, including coupons, maturities, and recalls, as part of a progressive integration into the team’s responsibilities.
• Risk and Valuation Analysis: Review and understand valuation, pricing, and risk analysis related to structured products sold to clients.
• Project Participation & Development: Draft functional specifications, participate in cross-functional projects, and develop Python or VBA scripts for various initiatives.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as an interface between Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office teams, serving as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and supporting the Exotic Trading desk.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree (Bac+5 equivalent) with a specialization in Finance or Financial Markets.
• Experience: Ideally a first experience in finance or financial markets, which could include an internship, VIE, or a permanent role.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and VBA; high level of attention to detail and strong motivation; good knowledge of financial instruments; operational level of English, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing for collaboration with US-based colleagues; French is also required.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Python is a strong asset.
