This is a full-time, permanent role at KPMG, located in La Défense, France, with a hybrid work model. This role is crucial for assisting clients with complex financial transformation projects, adapting to new accounting regulations, optimizing financial processes, and navigating the intricacies of financial instrument accounting.

The TL;DR

• Mission: To intervene on diverse missions related to clients’ financial transformation projects and associated accounting issues.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Implement new Finance Information Systems, including project management, framing business needs, developing and executing testing strategies, and leading change management initiatives.
• Support the implementation of accounting regulatory changes (IFRS and French GAAP), encompassing impact measurement and the deployment of new accounting processes.
• Diagnose and optimize Front-to-Back-to-Accounting processes by identifying risk areas and key controls, defining target processes, and deploying solutions.
• Advise financial departments on the accounting of financial instruments, including the setup of new products or activities, complex operations, and market risk hedging strategies.
• Contribute to the firm’s internal development by participating in team mentoring, development, and training, and by drafting commercial proposals and supporting oral presentations for tenders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s Degree from a top business or engineering school, or a recognized university, for a Senior Consultant level role.
• Experience: At least 2 years of successful experience in accounting within a financial institution, an audit firm, or a consulting firm in the banking sector.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of financial instruments and banking accounting (French and IFRS standards); understanding of accounting processes, organization, and the functioning of related information systems; ability to manage cross-functional projects with various contributors; excellent written and oral communication; good written and oral English proficiency.
• Bonus: Proactive, curious, entrepreneurial with strong analytical and synthesis skills; demonstrated adaptability and organizational capabilities; enjoys teamwork and project-based work; takes initiative to propose solutions; and has a desire to develop and motivate others.
