Litigation Paralegal – Toxic Torts | Trueline Talent
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Trueline’s client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm, located in its downtown Los Angeles office. The firm maintains a strong presence across the U.S. This position is crucial for supporting a busy toxic tort litigation practice, offering the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex legal matters from case inception through trial preparation. The role contributes to a collaborative and professional work environment, providing essential paralegal support to a respected litigation team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Litigation Support: Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Court & Calendar Management: Prepare, file, and manage court documents through ECF systems, maintaining litigation calendars and monitoring court deadlines.
• Legal Document Preparation: Draft pleadings, notices, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Discovery & Research: Conduct legal research using PACER, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms, and assist with discovery responses, document review, and case strategy preparation.
• Trial & Deposition Coordination: Organize and manage deposition materials, exhibits, and document productions, coordinating depositions, expert communications, and trial logistics, while communicating with all relevant parties and maintaining organized case files.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Seasoned professional with 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm environment, specifically supporting toxic tort, product liability, or other complex litigation matters.
• Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing requirements, with hands-on experience using ECF filing systems, PACER, and Westlaw. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, a Paralegal certificate, trial preparation and courtroom support experience, experience collaborating with expert witnesses and managing large discovery productions, and familiarity with California state and federal court procedures.
