The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare, revise, and organize a variety of legal documents including pleadings and correspondence for litigation matters.
• Court Submissions: Manage electronic court submissions, ensuring all filings are accurately completed and submitted within required deadlines.
• Calendar Management: Maintain attorney calendars by diligently tracking hearings, crucial filing dates, appointments, and other case-related deadlines.
• Medical Malpractice Support: Assist with medical malpractice cases through compiling necessary records, organizing case materials, and providing support for ongoing litigation activity.
• Case File Coordination: Coordinate and manage case files, monitor the flow of documents, and keep all matter information current and readily accessible.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires practical knowledge of civil litigation procedures and specific court filing requirements.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a legal support role, with a strong focus on litigation, including hands-on experience preparing and submitting e-filings through court systems.
• Skills: Strong ability to draft, proofread, and format legal documents with a high degree of accuracy; proficiency in calendar management and meticulous deadline tracking for active case matters.
• Bonus: A background specifically supporting medical malpractice or similar litigation cases is strongly preferred.
