Lead Planning | KBR

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at KBR, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. KBR delivers future-forward science, technology, and engineering solutions and mission-critical services globally, focusing on sustainability goals for governments and companies. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, timely, and budget-compliant delivery of mega EPC projects, adhering to ADNOC standards and international best practices across the entire asset life cycle.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
• Mission: Supervise and provide technical support across all stages of project management to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with ADNOC standards and international best practices.
• Tech Stack: Primavera P6, MS Project, Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI

What You’ll Actually Do
Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, diligently monitoring project progress against approved baselines, analyzing schedule variances, and recommending corrective actions, including supporting the preparation of recovery and mitigation plans when delays occur.
Cost Control & Budget Management: Track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts, rigorously monitoring cost performance to identify budget deviations, and preparing comprehensive cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and earned value analyses, while also assisting in the preparation of change orders and variation claims.
Project Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly project progress reports, generate key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards for management review, monitor project deliverables, milestones, and performance indicators, and ensure timely reporting of project risks, delays, and issues.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and assess project risks that could affect schedule, cost, and resources, meticulously maintain project risk registers, and provide support for mitigation planning and the effective implementation of risk response strategies.
Stakeholder Coordination & Resource Optimization: Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, and Clients, actively participate in project review meetings, provide management with accurate project performance insights and recommendations, and coordinate with project teams to optimize resource allocation based on manpower, equipment, and material requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 17 years of experience in project controls, planning, scheduling, or cost control, with proven experience in construction, oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, engineering, or industrial projects, specifically in Onshore Site MEGA EPC projects.
• Skills: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Advanced Microsoft Excel, Earned Value Management (EVM), Cost Control and Budgeting, Schedule Analysis and Forecasting, Risk Management Techniques.
• Bonus: Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, CCP, or equivalent are advantageous; proficiency with Power BI.
