What You’ll Actually Do
• Transactional Support: Facilitate and streamline operational aspects of transactional legal practices, meticulously organizing documentation and coordinating communication to ensure efficient progression of legal matters.
• Due Diligence Execution: Perform comprehensive due diligence investigations for various corporate initiatives, meticulously reviewing legal documents and information to identify potential risks and ensure compliance.
• Deal Lifecycle Management: Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of legal deals, tracking critical milestones, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring all procedural requirements are met for successful execution.
• Closing Process Management: Develop, maintain, and execute detailed closing checklists for legal transactions, ensuring accurate collection, review, and distribution of all necessary closing documents.
• Legal Technology Utilization: Actively utilize and contribute to the continuous improvement of legal technology platforms and knowledge management systems to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and consistency of legal information and processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess proven experience operating effectively within a large law firm or a complex corporate legal environment. A foundational understanding and direct experience supporting a transactional legal practice are essential for this role.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, demonstrating a track record of successful contribution to legal operations, particularly in areas related to corporate transactions and legal support.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in due diligence methodologies, deal management processes, and the creation and maintenance of closing checklists. Strong capabilities in knowledge management and the application of legal technology are also critical. Furthermore, candidates must exhibit strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage tasks and interact with various stakeholders.
