Manager – Logistics | Schneider Electric
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Schneider Electric, located in Mumbai (Powai), India. Schneider Electric, through its Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation brand, provides a comprehensive portfolio of low-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear, automation solutions, software, and services for diverse segments including homes, agriculture, buildings, infrastructure, and industry. This Manager, Logistics role is crucial for optimizing the entire logistics operation, ensuring cost efficiency, service excellence, and adherence to all organizational and regulatory standards.

• Mission: To oversee and optimize end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring cost efficiency, service excellence, and compliance with standards.
• Tech Stack: ERP/TMS/WMS systems
What You’ll Actually Do
• Logistics Operations: Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation, and monitoring 3PL/4PL service provider performance.
• Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient inventory movement, dispatch readiness, and accuracy across multiple distribution centers and plants.
• Cost & Budget Management: Analyze logistics costs, identify savings opportunities, implement efficiency initiatives, and prepare and manage logistics budgets and forecasts.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Develop relationships with transporters and logistics partners, negotiate freight rates and service contracts, and collaborate with internal teams like procurement, planning, and sales.
• Performance & Reporting: Track key performance indicators such as On-Time in Full (OTIF), generate Management Information System (MIS) reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level with a B.E/ B.Tech degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Supply Chain from a recognized institution.
• Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience in Logistics & Supply Chain, specifically in Transportation Management, demonstrating Financial Acumen and Vendor Management skills.
• Skills: Logistics Operations Management, Cost Optimization, Vendor Negotiation, Performance Monitoring (KPIs like OTD, Freight Cost Reduction), and Compliance (transport laws, GST, E-way bills).
• Bonus: Experience within the Power Generation, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Products industries.
