Accounting and Financial Analyst | Brunswick Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Brunswick Corporation, located in Mettawa, IL. Brunswick is a global marine leader focused on developing next-generation technologies that enhance experiences on the water. This role is critical in supporting the finance and senior leadership teams of the Venture Boat Group, helping to manage a significant revenue business. The position offers an opportunity to be a key thought partner and grow into future leadership roles within teams defining the future of marine recreation.

• Team: Reports to the Manager, FP&A, supporting Venture Boat Group North American finance and senior leadership teams.
• Mission: Assist in financial oversight, monthly/quarterly close activities, commercial and operations support, forecasts, and budgets for the Bayliner and Heyday product lines.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Power BI, MS Office, PowerPoint, Oracle, EPM, Business Objects

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform monthly close activities to ensure the accuracy of results and compliance with internal and external deadlines.
• Process inter-company transactions, confirm balances for partners, and research/resolve related variances.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries, complete general ledger account reconciliations, and generate financial reports.
• Partner with brand leadership and commercial, operations, and finance teams on key initiatives and performance tracking.
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets and participate in audit activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Cost Accounting.
• Experience: One to three years of finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or brand environment.
• Skills: Ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data using Excel or Power BI, proficient with MS Office, ability to interpret financial reports, and strong communication skills to build narratives for management and peers.
• Bonus: Experience with Oracle, EPM, and Business Objects ERP software platforms.
