This is a full-time role at Price Benowitz LLP, located in Rockville, MD. Price Benowitz is a mid-sized law firm headquartered in Washington, DC, with offices and attorneys across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and South Carolina, specializing in diverse practice areas including criminal defense, personal injury, and family law. This role is critical for providing essential administrative and legal support to the firm’s growing Family Law team, directly impacting case progression and client experience.

• Mission: Provides direct administrative and legal support to ensure efficient operation of family law cases and effective client communication.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, performing administrative and client service functions as assigned.
• Document Preparation: Draft and complete legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence for court, including dictation and proofreading.
• Case Organization: Organize client portfolios, manage databases and files, and analyze production, discovery documents, and financial data.
• Litigation Support: Assist with obtaining and filing legal documents, locating absent parties, and conducting basic legal research.
• Administrative Tasks: Provide essential secretarial tasks such as document preparation, dictation, filing, and proofreading correspondence for the family law team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a strong foundation of family law experience.
• Experience: Prior legal assistant experience is required; prior family law experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail-orientation, good organizational and time management skills, customer service proficiency, ability to work well independently, willingness to learn.
• Bonus: Great interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and a sympathetic attitude in dealing with confidential matters.
