Legal Practice Assistant | Cozen O’Connor

The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at Cozen O’Connor, located in Seattle, WA, with a schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home. This role is crucial for providing essential support to senior attorneys, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of client service and firm operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents and efficiently manage their workflow, including duplication, printing, mailing, and merging.
• File Management: Prepare and maintain comprehensive client and office files within both electronic and paper filing systems.
• Administrative Coordination: Plan and execute travel arrangements, and prepare and submit expense reports and check requests.
• Billing Support: Collaborate with the Billing department to resolve billing problems, efficiently process final billing statements, and monitor client electronic billing systems.
• Client Communication: Communicate with clients daily via phone or email, and schedule and coordinate meetings and conferences.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum 5 years of recent litigation experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, with core domain knowledge in WA and Federal Court procedures and e-filing processes.
• Experience: 5 years recent litigation experience, State and Federal e-filing experience, and calendaring and docketing experience.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft applications, specifically an advanced level in Word and Outlook; outstanding written and verbal communication skills; and strong document processing and project management skills.
• Bonus: Experience with the use of a document management system and redlining experience are preferred.
