Float Phlebotomist / Administrative Assistant-Rockefeller Center | One Medical

• Pay: $25.75–$27.75 hourly
• Team: Supports multiple offices in a Market, reporting to the Practice Coordinator, Operations Manager, or providers.
• Mission: To deliver exceptional venipuncture and comprehensive administrative support, ensuring a seamless and positive in-office patient experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Interaction: Implement the C-I-CARE framework in all patient interactions, managing intake, scheduling, follow-up, and monitoring patient feedback to ensure a fluid and positive in-office experience.
• Clinical Services: Provide best-in-class venipuncture services to patients of all ages and perform or assist with extended duties such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, and taking vitals.
• Office Management: Execute all front of house duties including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, paperwork tasks, and maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen handling, inventory, and office upkeep.
• Administrative Support: Respond to patient messages, follow up on lab cases, and assist providers and the virtual medical team with clerical duties like biometric screening forms, medical record review, and billing inquiries.
• Team Contribution: Actively participate in team development through rounding, huddles, problem-solving, and providing ad hoc support to in-office providers as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent; core domain knowledge gained from relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist.
• Experience: At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment; experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus).
• Skills: Strong customer service skills, including establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships; strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in computer technology such as typing, internet navigation, and using multiple software systems simultaneously; a proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process; a proven track record of persisting through change, taking action on challenges, and learning quickly.
