2027 Summer Associate | Jackson Lewis P.C.

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Acumen: Gain deep familiarity with relevant employment law statutes and regulations through practical application within the firm’s practice.
• Litigation Support: Provide essential support by conducting thorough legal research, analyzing complex cases, and assisting with all phases of employment litigation.
• Document Drafting: Develop critical legal writing skills by preparing detailed memoranda and drafting various court filings under the guidance of experienced attorneys.
• Legislative Tracking: Actively monitor and review the status of new employment law developments, preparing concise summaries and informative articles related to new legislation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career; Must be currently enrolled as a 2L for the 2026-2027 academic year in an ABA-accredited law school, demonstrating a clear interest in Employment Law.
• Experience: Strong academic performance is required, indicating a solid foundational understanding of legal principles.
• Skills: Excellent writing skills are critical for drafting legal documents and communications, complemented by strong attention to detail essential for legal research and analysis.
