Finance Co-Op | VB Spine
The Tone:
This is a hybrid Co-Op position at VB Spine, located in Leesburg, VA. VB Spine is the largest privately held spine company and among the largest family-owned medical technology companies in the world. The company supports surgeons during life-changing spinal procedures, focusing on innovation and improving patient outcomes in spine care. This role is crucial for gaining hands-on experience in core accounting, reporting, and financial analysis within a medical device environment, contributing to real business deliverables.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Create and analyze accounting statements and reports to support the preparation of financial statements.
• Accounting: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation.
• Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations as assigned.
• Analysis: Conduct data analysis in Excel, utilizing VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and variance analysis.
• Projects: Support ad-hoc projects related to process improvements, reporting, documentation, and internal controls.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
• Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
• Bonus: Proven leadership potential and business acumen; enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
