What You’ll Actually Do
• Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to analyze monthly financial activity, develop monthly forecasts, and communicate results to financial leadership.
• Variance Analysis: Work with cross-functional departments to investigate and determine the root cause of monthly financial variances.
• Month-End Close: Deliver timely and accurate month-end close tasks, including preparing journal entries and managing accruals.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Adapt to internal customer needs by creating meaningful ad hoc “what-if” financial analysis, providing objective opinions, and developing recommendations for improvements.
• Process Improvement: Identify knowledge gaps and develop tools, processes, and models to provide meaningful information to internal customers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. This is an entry-level position focused on core domain knowledge.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance related field.
• Skills: Advanced Excel knowledge, excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication across all organizational levels (written, verbal, presentation, and listening).
