Chewy operates as a leading online retailer for pet products and services, and this position specifically supports its rapidly expanding Finance Healthcare team. The Financial Analyst role is pivotal for navigating complex financial landscapes, supporting key strategic decisions, and driving growth within Chewy Healthcare. This individual will be instrumental in utilizing an understanding of finance and practical knowledge of financial statements to ensure financial objectives are consistently achieved.

• Tech Stack: Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, AI features), PowerPoint, SQL (must), AI (ChatGPT/Codex/Claude), Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, Oracle ERP.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Analytics: Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large data sets and produce concise outputs, delivering business insights, reporting, analyses, and recommendations to leadership.
• Performance Management: Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with the broader Finance team, Healthcare Business Development, Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations.
• Planning: Actively participate in the target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes.
• Financial Closing: Lead all aspects of the monthly close process, ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy’s policies and procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics. This early-career role requires 0-2 years of relevant finance experience, accompanied by a basic understanding of GAAP and a grasp of financial statements.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and modeling skills, along with proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Skills: Essential skills include sophisticated Excel capabilities (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, AI functionalities) and strong PowerPoint skills. Mandatory experience with SQL coding is also required.
• Bonus: Experience with specific tools such as AI platforms (ChatGPT/Codex/Claude), Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, and Oracle ERP would be a plus.
