The Corporate Controllership team at The Home Depot operates as a strategic and forward-thinking partner, dedicated to fostering business growth within a world-class controllership organization. This is a full-time role at The Home Depot, located in Atlanta, GA. The Analyst plays a pivotal part in the day-to-day operations of a financial tower, ensuring critical activities align with business objectives and customer needs. This role is essential for supporting key financial processes and contributing to the overall strategic initiatives of the company.

• Mission: Responsible for the day-to-day activities within a financial tower (Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, or Record to Report), with a focus on Cost of Goods Sold.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite or related software, other accounting software programs
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Execute daily operational tasks within a specific financial tower (P2P, OTC, or R2R), monitor performance metrics, and complete month-end and year-end processes.
• Collaboration: Cultivate trust and collaboration with internal and external partners to understand technical needs and address business problems effectively.
• Project Support: Work with project teams and business partners to complete strategic project goals, prioritizing assignments and ensuring high quality and accuracy.
• Improvement: Provide continuous improvement insights and recommendations to managers and leaders, while seeking further knowledge on new tools and technologies.
• Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports for leadership, assisting with data gathering, research, and analysis as requested.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the job.
• Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience in an accounting or finance-related function.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; thorough understanding of accounting and/or finance principles and practices; strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills; ability to work independently and complete work on schedule.
• Bonus: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs; ability to prepare and present clear, concise administrative and financial reports.
