Director, Government & Public Sector – UAE | First Abu Dhabi Bank
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at First Abu Dhabi Bank, located in the UAE. First Abu Dhabi Bank is the largest bank in the UAE, providing a wide array of personal and private banking services including credit cards, Islamic banking, investments, loans, and mortgages. This role is essential for managing and expanding investment banking client relationships with UAE Government entities, crucial for maintaining service quality, meeting revenue goals, ensuring client satisfaction, and preserving portfolio credit quality.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Relationship Management: Manage and ensure effective implementation of CIB policies to support Investment Banking client relationships for UAE Government entities.
• Business Origination: Work with respective Managing Directors and Executive Directors to originate new business opportunities with target clients across banking products.
• Deal Execution Support: Contribute to the development of Term Sheets, Information Memorandums, and financial modelling, and participate in pitching, negotiation, and conclusion of deals.
• Risk and Compliance Oversight: Examine and resolve credit, market, and operational risk aspects of transactions in collaboration with product and enablement units, and manage KYC and compliance requirements.
• Performance and Reporting: Achieve team financial performance targets, identify and develop cross-selling opportunities, and assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline, with core domain knowledge in investment banking and the banking sector.
• Experience: 5 – 10 years of experience specifically in investment banking.
• Skills: Knowledge of FAB’s products and business strategies, ability to work under pressure, and ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in business administration is preferred.
