What You’ll Actually Do
• Drafting: Draft and review legal correspondence, ensuring thorough proofreading for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
• File Management: Prepare and collect conflict of interest checks, open new files, and maintain client files with precision.
• Calendar Management: Maintain attorneys’ calendars, accurately noting all important dates and deadlines.
• Court Filings: Handle State and Federal court filings, including the submission of electronic filings.
• Task Prioritization: Organize and prioritize numerous tasks, completing them efficiently under time constraints with minimal supervision.
• Confidentiality: Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive legal information.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Professional providing legal administrative support, with a specific focus on litigation.
• Experience: 2+ years of litigation secretarial experience.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills with attorneys, staff, and clients; strong organizational abilities; meticulous proofreading; familiarity with State and Federal court filing procedures; ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks independently.
• Bonus: Knowledge of iManage and Outlook.
