Assistant Manager – Data Flow Controls, Finance | London Stock Exchange Group

The Tone:

• Mission: Strengthen the end-to-end data control framework to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial data across all finance processes.
• Tech Stack: EPM, Power Automate, ERP platforms, reporting tools, Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Excel/ Power BI/Query, Word), other BI tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Own Data Controls: Own critical data reconciliations across finance systems, ensuring data consistency across plan, forecast, and actuals by defining standards, frequency, thresholds, and escalation protocols.
• Design & Enhance Frameworks: Continuously review and enhance the end-to-end data control framework, ensuring it is comprehensive, scalable, and audit-compliant, while defining new control checks for evolving architecture.
• Assess System Impacts: Evaluate the implications of system implementations, integrations, and enhancements on existing reconciliations, data flows, and control design, partnering to embed controls into future-state processes.
• Automate Controls: Drive the automation of manual reconciliations and control checks using tools like EPM or Power Automate to improve effectiveness through real-time monitoring and automated alerts.
• Lead Issue Resolution: Lead root cause analysis for reconciliation breaks and control failures, differentiating between tactical fixes and strategic solutions, and tracking recurring issues for sustainable resolution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Data Analytics. This is a Senior Associate career stage role.
• Experience: Experience in large, complex, multi-system finance environments, with prior exposure to finance transformation programs and a proven track record of interacting with senior management.
• Skills: Strong understanding of financial planning & reporting processes (FP&A), data flows, and reconciliations across finance systems, coupled with strong root cause analysis capability and experience driving automation.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to work across Finance, Engineering, and Transformation teams with strong communication skills to translate technical issues into business impact.
