Financial Analyst | CK Power

The Tone:
This is an onsite role at CK Power, located in St. Louis, MO. CK Power is a family-owned business with a 90-year history of providing off-highway power solutions, known for engineering and building custom diesel power units and generators for a diverse range of industries. This Financial Analyst role is critical to the manufacturing operation, supporting informed business decisions by analyzing financial data and monitoring performance. The position focuses on key areas such as cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, and broader operational support.

• Mission: Own financial analysis, cost accounting, and budgeting to support manufacturing operations and inform business decisions.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Power BI (or similar tools), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Cost Management: Analyze manufacturing costs, margins, and profitability segmented by product, customer, and production line.
• Asset Tracking: Maintain the fixed asset register, review monthly depreciation and amortization, and support the capitalization of manufacturing equipment.
• Budgeting Support: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, while also tracking and reporting operational KPIs and financial metrics.
• Compliance & Improvement: Ensure adherence to internal controls and company accounting policies, and identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and data accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and working knowledge of fixed assets and depreciation methods.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a financial analyst or accounting role.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas, along with experience using ERP systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
• Bonus: Manufacturing experience is preferred, and proficiency with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus.
