The Tone:
This is a full-time White Collar Litigation Associate role, located in New York, NY. Watts & Associates Recruitment is working with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm that handles fast-moving, high-stakes matters involving government scrutiny, sensitive facts, and significant client exposure. This role is crucial for supporting complex disputes, internal investigations, and government enforcement matters, offering strong training in core litigation skills within a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Attorneys work closely with partners and senior lawyers, gaining meaningful responsibility and direct involvement in strategy and client communications.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support white collar criminal defense: Assist with defense-oriented work, often involving both corporate and individual clients.
• Manage internal investigations: Help with witness preparation and managing discovery for sensitive matters involving government scrutiny.
• Draft legal documents: Prepare pleadings, briefs, and dispositive motions.
• Prepare for court: Assist in preparing for hearings and related court appearances, leveraging excellent legal research and analytical skills.
• Support government enforcement matters: Contribute to strategy and client communications with meaningful responsibility in complex disputes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Juris Doctor. Experience as a 3rd to 4th year White Collar Litigation Associate.
• Experience: Approximately 3 to 4 years of white collar litigation experience, including government investigations and related complex litigation. Experience preparing for and participating in depositions, including organizing key documents and outlines.
• Skills: Strong drafting skills across pleadings, dispositive motions, and legal memoranda. Excellent legal research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills. Court appearance experience. Active New York Bar admission.
