What You’ll Actually Do
• Guide: Provide strategic advisory assignments and high-quality advice to regional and international clients on complex financial situations.
• Structure: Oversee and contribute to the structuring and execution of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and joint ventures.
• Direct: Lead efforts in corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, and leveraged buyouts.
• Protect: Develop and implement defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts for clients.
• Execute: Manage and facilitate the execution of public and private capital markets transactions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree is required. This role is for an experienced professional at the Vice President level, requiring deep domain knowledge in the investment banking industry, particularly in M&A across various industry sectors.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience within the investment banking industry, or an MBA coupled with 4+ years of experience. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of successfully executing complex deals and possess a strong technical and execution background.
• Skills: Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for all written and verbal communication. Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication, client relationship management, and interpersonal skills. A commercial instinct and the ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines are also essential. Series licensing is required or must be obtained.
• Bonus: Fluency in Portuguese is considered a strong asset. An MBA and/or CFA designation would also be a valuable addition.
