Financial Analyst I – Corporate Planning | EchoStar Corporation
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at EchoStar Corporation, requiring in-person participation in interviews. EchoStar is a company focused on reimagining the future of connectivity, with a broad business reach that spans satellite television service, live-streaming and on-demand programming, smart home installation services, and mobile plans and products. Today, their recognized brands include Boost Mobile, DISH TV, Gen Mobile, Hughes, and Sling TV. In this position, you will be instrumental in transforming complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives that drive enterprise-level strategy for this diverse organization. Your work will also solve the problem of information silos by partnering across various Finance and Accounting functions, ensuring consolidated reporting is both transparent and accurate. This critical role ensures executive leadership and the Board of Directors have the essential insights necessary to navigate a rapidly evolving economic landscape.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Insights Delivery: Deliver clear insights and recommendations to executive leadership by interpreting key performance drivers within financial results.
• Performance Communication: Partner with Finance leadership and the CFO to communicate consolidated performance and outlook, ensuring alignment with departmental OKRs.
• Strategic Narration: Translate complex data sets into strategic narratives for high-stakes presentations delivered to the Board of Directors.
• AI Integration: Leverage AI applications to streamline data interpretation and enhance the speed of ad hoc financial modeling and trend analysis.
• Financial Modeling: Drive data-informed decision-making through the design of robust financial models while collaborating with Accounting for seamless month-, quarter-, and year-end closes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, suitable for an entry-level career.
• Experience: 0-3 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical field.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling to drive precision in performance tracking and forecasting; strong analytical problem-solving expertise with the ability to identify critical issues and draw meaningful conclusions from disparate data; professional communication skills necessary to translate complex financial concepts into compelling executive-level presentations; AI literacy and the capacity to apply innovative tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting processes; comprehensive understanding of core Accounting and Finance principles, including consolidated financial statements and reporting workflows; and a proactive sense of ownership and the ability to build cross-functional relationships within a dynamic, growing environment.
• Bonus: Experience with financial reporting systems such as Hyperion, OneStream, or equivalent enterprise platforms.
